Counselor (Per-Diem)

With deep roots in Western Massachusetts and a growing presence in communities throughout the state, we are currently seeking a Counselor (per-diem) to join our team and help advance our mission of empowering people to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. As a Counselor in the Respite Unit, you will work directly with adults experiencing mental health challenges, providing one-on-one counseling, needs assessments, and group activities. You will also collaborate with family members and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that help individuals achieve their goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Two years of experience in a human services field or equivalent experience with a psychiatric population (required)
- Strong interpersonal, observational, and documentation skills
Nice To Haves
- MAP Certification (preferred)
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews, observations, and mental status exams to inform treatment plans
- Provide individualized counseling services and facilitate group activities
- Collaborate with families, service providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Participate in regular supervision and training to enhance your professional skills
