About The Position
The Counselor is responsible for ensuring that all inmates are provided with education in the assigned curriculum approved by the Department of Correction and are responsible for written documentation in the case records. This role also involves participating in a multi-disciplinary team meeting on a weekly basis or as directed. The position requires working the hours necessary to meet the business needs of the organization, which may include working more than 40 hours per week and potentially evening and weekend programming.
Requirements
- BA/MA or 2 years equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education or closely related field required
Nice To Haves
- DOC experience and/or Alcohol/ Drug certification preferred
