Provides counseling services to clients of the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center (“PPC”).
Requirements
Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
Pro-life in word and pro-love in action
LPC, LCSW or LMFT
Familiar with and knowledgeable of perinatal mental health issues
Strong crisis intervention skills
Knowledgeable of appropriate referral resources available to clients
Comfortable with individual and group counseling
Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Strong written and oral communication skills
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, while occasionally performing physical activities requiring moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 10 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities
Administer intake assessments and counsel clients from a Biblical, Christ-centered perspective
Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential client records in accordance with PPC policies and applicable laws
Develop care plans with clients including goals, referrals, and follow-up appointments
Track client progress and follow up on missed appointments or referrals to ensure continuity of care
Participate in periodic case reviews with the Director of Client Services and other counseling staff to ensure quality and consistency of care
Develop curriculum for and lead groups surrounding relevant issues
Teach classes online and in person to clients
Provide training to staff and volunteers as needed
Recognize and respond to situations which require reporting to local police and/or Child Protective Services
Build relationships with appropriate referral resources available to clients
