Counselor
About The Position
The Counselor is responsible for providing documented individual and group clinical services and case management to clients with mental health, substance abuse, or dual diagnosis problems. This role involves performing intake assessments and completing all associated documentation within required time frames. The Counselor will provide quality clinical services and case management to assigned clients in accordance with Spectrum’s clinical design and in compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory bodies. Additionally, the Counselor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and revising individual treatment plans for assigned clients in established time frames with the participation of the client. A satisfactory level of interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, families, vendors, and regulatory agencies is also required.
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of one-year supervised counseling experience in the substance abuse treatment or closely related field required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must have basic ability in use of computers sufficient to utilize electronic health records
Nice To Haves
- LADC I or CADAC certification preferred
