About The Position

Recovery Center of Niagara is an organization focusing on the care and treatment of those suffering from substance and alcohol use disorder. They have partnered with DailyPay for same-day access to funds, allowing employees to access their earnings before payday. The facility is located in Newfane and provides comprehensive care including detox, medication-assisted treatment, rehab, and recovery therapy. They are seeking a self-motivated Counselor to manage a caseload of patients, performing essential counseling functions such as intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, referrals, individual and group counseling, case management, reporting, record keeping, and care coordination.

Requirements

CASAC, CASAC-T, LMHC, LMSW, or LCSW certification.
Addiction counseling: 1 year (Required)

Responsibilities

Maintain and manage a caseload.
Conduct weekly individual and group counseling sessions (as assigned).
Perform assessment and intake as needed.
Assist with the development of clinical treatment tracks that are diversified in language and culture to meet patient and family needs.
Assist with weekly utilization reviews based on established clinical and administrative protocols.
Assist with monthly skills-based workshops relative to chemical dependency.
Assist with the review, process, and distribution of incident reports based on established agency-wide protocol as directed.
Provide input for employee reviews as requested.
Assist in the preparation of weekly case conference and case reviews.
Assist with the assessment and intake process.
Assist with the clinical discharge process.
Responsible for adhering to a standard of maintaining 10 billable units of service per day based on caseload.
Record individual patient data in NYC HRA STARS as required weekly/monthly.
Monitor patient toxicology testing.
Maintain a clean work environment.
