The Counselor is responsible for direct client care, the implementation of evidence-based readiness and transition programming services for a caseload of participants. Accordingly, it assesses and identifies clinical issues and creates clear objectives and goals. It also tracks and documents participant progress in case reports while working to meet all required internal and external contract standards and policies. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related field (Master’s Degree preferred.) Certified Addiction Professional endorsement (CAP) or Master’s Level Certified Addictions Professional (MCAP), or Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHC). Preference given to experience within a correctional setting. Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
