About The Position

The Counselor (MSW, LSW, or MFT), PRN role is at a Substance Use Disorder Treatment Center. The position involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and conducting timely assessments. The counselor will apply appropriate therapeutic theories, considering cultural factors for group activities, and regularly document patient responses. They will formulate treatment programs aligned with orders, actively participate in treatment planning, and provide effective therapy procedures. Ensuring accurate paperwork completion and demonstrating crisis intervention skills are also key responsibilities. The role requires maintaining constant communication with physicians, families, and referral sources.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in social work or counseling with an LSW and documented experience in group therapy setting.
Master's degree in social work or counseling.
Must be 21 yrs or older.
BSW with LSW, LISW, MSW, or MFT required.
Current unencumbered clinical license per state of practice guidelines.
