About The Position

Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center located in South Central Oklahoma. We are seeking a self-motivated, dynamic, and team-oriented counselor for our Outpatient clinic in Madill, OK. This position will provide outpatient therapy services to families experiencing behavioral health issues on an outpatient basis with an integrated approach to care. Lighthouse is committed to providing all necessary tools and training to help team members be successful.

Requirements

  • Completion of the curriculum requirements of a Master’s degree in a mental health or substance abuse-related field from an accredited university.
  • For Counselor I: One (1) year of experience in a professional capacity involving the delivery of clinical services. A clinical practicum can qualify as one (1) year of clinical experience.
  • For Counselor II: Two (2) years' experience in a professional capacity involving the delivery of clinical service or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be an approved candidate for Oklahoma State Licensure as an LCSW, LADC-MH, LPC, LMFT, or LBP (for Counselor I).
  • Oklahoma State Licensure as an LPC, LBP, LMFT, LCSW, or LADC-MH (for Counselor II).
  • Demonstrated skill in working with people.
  • Skill in effectively treating social, emotional, and addiction problems.
  • Skill in expressing ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral form (for Counselor II).
  • Skill in exercising good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions (for Counselor II).
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance.
  • Ability to commute or relocate before starting work.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional mental health or substance abuse services to children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Participates in the planning and delivery of therapeutic clinical services to consumers and families in a wraparound team approach.
  • Works with various groups, including their caregivers, adults, and children, and must be willing to work with the entire family system.
