About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Supervisor, the Counselor provides coordinated counseling services to ensure optimum services are provided to clients. The position provides clinical counseling to assigned clients, participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, collaborates with other disciplines and coworkers, supports enforcement of program rules, manages program schedules and information, and monitors urine specimen collection and toxicology results.

Requirements

Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).
At least 3 years of experience working in the social services field.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Knowledge of computer programs.
Excellent organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical counseling services to assigned clients, including initial assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning, in accordance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements.
Participate in comprehensive interdisciplinary team treatment planning and activities as indicated or scheduled.
Collaborate with other disciplines and coworkers as needed to ensure client needs are met.
Assist in enforcing program rules and regulations.
Plan and manage dissemination of program schedules and other information about events and activities.
Monitor the collection of urine specimens and toxicology results.
