Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent required.
  • Must meet Missouri Credentialing Board registration requirements or the appropriate professional registration requirements.
  • Associate Counselors must be supervised by a Qualified Addiction Professional with MCB Clinical Supervision Training.
  • Current driver’s license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.
  • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect check.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the screening/assessment process under the supervision of a licensed counselor or therapist within designated time frames.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with State Regulatory guidelines based on assessment information, while under supervision.
  • Document services provided in accordance with State Regulatory standards, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions, focusing on recovery, healthy decision-making, and improved problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with clients, referral sources, and coworkers while upholding ethical standards.
