Spero Health is seeking a licensed counselor or social worker to support its mission of saving lives, instilling hope, and restoring relationships. The Counselor works as part of an integrated team serving patients receiving counseling, case management, and medically assisted treatment. The organization’s approach is to treat the whole person through integrated care. The role includes conducting initial assessments and ongoing patient care, providing evidence-based counseling and patient education, and collaborating to support treatment-program accountability and patient compliance. The Counselor also helps patients set realistic goals toward recovery and serves as a clinic resource for compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations. Spero Health provides required HIOP-program training, which must be completed within the first 90 days of employment: CPR certification, basic first aid, Narcan administration, and de-escalation training. Career development support includes annual CEU reimbursement of up to $400 and opportunities for growth within the organization. Eligible clinicians may also access federal student-loan repayment assistance through Spero Health’s STAR-approved organization status.
