About The Position

CHC is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. We are looking for Counselors/Therapists who will join us in our mission of helping those in our community and are specifically looking for a Women's Treatment Counselor to join our Women's Residential Team. Women's Residential Counselors provide direct service to our clients at our Touchstone location through both individual and group counseling. Counselors provide individual and group counseling by evaluating assessments for identified patients and their family members and based on findings, facilitating a timely and appropriate treatment plan, and coordinating said plan with available agency services and the community. CHC will provide your own private office, quality supervision, and ongoing training and CEUs.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree
• Hold an active Ohio license to counsel as an LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDC III, and/or LICDC

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of clinical experience treating patients with substance use disorders

Responsibilities

• Interview patients
• Coordinate assessment
• Summarize and evaluate problem areas and patient strengths
• Develop treatment plans
• Complete appropriate case management and review as per agency procedures
• Provide individual group, and or family counseling to assigned cases in accordance with the policies and procedures of CHC and the Code of Ethics
• Completing thorough and concise documentation of each step of the patient's treatment
• Participate and present patient cases weekly in clinical supervision meetings and seek additional professional consultation as needed.
