About The Position

Riveon Mental Health and Recovery is seeking passionate, caring, and dedicated counselors and social workers to provide office-based and telehealth services to clients. With the merger of The LCADA Way and The Nord Center, Riveon Mental Health and Recovery offers integrated behavioral health care with cutting-edge treatments and interventions in a supportive environment. This role is part of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach providing comprehensive, coordinated mental health services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. The position involves face-to-face screening, assessment, crisis intervention, and individual/group counseling, addressing co-occurring substance use for individuals on the ACT Team, all within a culturally diverse community.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in a mental health related field with the following license is required: LSW or LPC.
  • Must have strong oral and written skills.
  • Basic computer skills required, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be highly skilled at behavioral health screening/assessment and counseling in both chemical abuse and mental illness, making appropriate referrals, and working effectively with competing priorities.
  • The necessity for travel in this job requires that the employee possess a valid Ohio driver's license, a clean driving record, have proof of adequate personal automobile insurance, and use of a personal vehicle.
  • Must have favorable references and/or evaluations.
  • A working knowledge of Riveon Mental Health and Recovery Policy and Procedures, including sensitivity and adherence to clients’ rights, confidentiality, and health and safety issues.
  • Must exhibit sensitivity to different cultures.

Nice To Haves

  • LISW or LPCC preferred.
  • Experience in assessment, crisis intervention, conducting long and short-term therapy and counseling or other experience in the treatment of mental health/chemical abuse are preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) major plus.
  • Experience with EHR (electronic health records) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides screening, assessment, treatment planning, individual/group counseling, and crisis intervention for clients on the ACT Team; provides information about community resources, refers clients to the most appropriate resources.
  • Gathers information through intake interviews; evaluates nature and degree of mental/emotional distress, substance use/abuse, health issues, and social/interpersonal problems; develops individual service plans with clients.
  • Conducts short and long-term therapy and/or counseling sessions with using various psychotherapeutic treatment modalities. Sessions may be conducted in a variety of settings including the main office, ancillary offices, residential locations and community settings.
  • Coordinates treatment with other agencies, services and other programs within the agency.
  • Completes case notes on intake process, treatment plan and client’s progress in accordance with ACT fidelity guidelines.
  • Provides consultation and education services to community groups by assisting in program planning, giving educational talks and lectures, and by consulting on specific cases.
  • Maintains required productivity expectation.
  • Participates in clinical supervision and administrative meetings as required by the ACT Clinical Manager.
  • Provides clinical support when needed to TBS Specialists/Manager on the team
  • Reacts to change and stress productively and handles other tasks as assigned.
  • Create and maintain a trauma-informed care environment that respects self-determination and the need for everyone to be treated with dignity and respect. Utilize respectful, trauma-informed language in all aspects of the job.
