About The Position

Affect is expanding its clinical leadership team to support high-quality, accessible care across markets. The Counselor Supervisor will oversee a team of counselors and therapists, ensuring high-quality care delivery, strong clinical performance, and alignment with Affect’s treatment model. This role blends clinical supervision, team leadership, performance management, and program development—ideal for someone who enjoys building, coaching, and improving systems while staying connected to clinical work. This is a hybrid leadership role based in the Portland metro area.

Requirements

  • Active and independent Oregon license: LCSW or LPC
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as an independent clinician
  • Prior experience supervising clinicians (required)
  • Ability to supervise clinicians across substance use and mental health treatment
  • Willingness to work in-office in the Portland metro area
  • Ability to maintain a Monday–Friday schedule
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage across teams
  • Experience supporting documentation standards, utilization, and performance management
  • Comfort working in a structured, fast-paced clinical environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading teams and managing clinical staff performance
  • Experience with hiring, onboarding, or training clinicians
  • Familiarity with local Oregon treatment landscape and community resources

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision to counselors and therapists
  • Coach clinicians on complex cases, clinical skill development, and adherence to treatment standards
  • Drive strong clinical outcomes and team performance, including productivity, engagement, and quality metrics
  • Monitor and ensure timely documentation, billing accuracy, and compliance standards
  • Support caseload and utilization management, including scheduling optimization and panel adjustments
  • Conduct chart reviews, audits, and performance evaluations
  • Partner with clinical leadership, operations, and medical teams to ensure smooth day-to-day care delivery
  • Support training, onboarding, and ongoing development of clinicians
  • Contribute to new program initiatives, protocols, and quality improvement efforts
  • Maintain a small clinical caseload as needed to support operations and remain connected to care delivery
  • Participate in hiring and help build a strong, mission-aligned team
