About The Position

Lakeview Center (LCI) provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies and intellectual disabilities. Across Northwest Florida, our services range from residential treatment to outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, treatments for substance misuse and 24/7 support for those with serious mental illnesses. This position requires advanced knowledge (Master’s Degree) in Human Services, exercising discretion and independent judgment in providing person-served-centered therapeutic services. The role also involves serving as a consultant and mentor to Bachelor’s Level Direct Care employees and Behavioral Technicians. This position carries a high level of responsibility in treating individuals and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and LCI standards. It serves as a lead position in direct care provision, including assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person-centered services, and management of person-served risk and safety.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Related Field.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience working with mental health, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
  • Verification of completion of a Master’s program internship at Lakeview Center, Inc.
  • Must be able to pass advanced level CPI Training.
  • Must be able to obtain (or provide a valid) CPR certification.
  • Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
  • A Level II background screening is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer individuals certified through the Florida Certification Board as an Addiction Professional.
