About The Position

Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities. The Counselor II provides therapeutic services to adults, children, adolescents, and families as assigned. Duties may vary per location/department. In this role, the Counselor II conducts comprehensive clinical assessments as a part of the diagnostic process, reviews ongoing delivery of services, identifies individual client needs and diagnoses substance use and/or mental health disorders. Conducts individual, family and group sessions to provide therapeutic treatment, and behavior modification using evidence-based practice to assist clients in reaching treatment goals. As member of clinical staff and treatment teams, assists in case management and coordination of community resources to meet client needs. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited college required.
  • All QMHP positions in the state of Oregon will need to be filled by candidates who are officially QMHP certified or registered with MHACBO.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in a behavioral or mental health setting preferred.
  • Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered.

Responsibilities
