Counselor II IOP - Road to Recovery
About The Position
Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies and intellectual disabilities. Across Northwest Florida, our services range from residential treatment to outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, treatments for substance misuse and 24/7 support for those with serious mental illnesses. This Master’s level counselor will provide intensive outpatient treatment to adults in a virtual and in-person setting. Primary duties include advanced knowledge in the field of human services and to use such knowledge to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgement in providing the highest quality therapeutic services. This position is entrusted with a high level of responsibility and insight into the treatment of the person served while ensuring services are provided and documented in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Lakeview Center standards. This position will serve as a lead position in the provision of direct care, under the supervision of a licensed team member. Virtual and in-person therapeutic services include but are not limited to assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, family services, person centered services, and management of person served risk and safety.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, or a related human services field (a related human services field is one in which major course work includes the study of human behavior and development).
- At least two (2) years’ experience working with individuals who have mental health, substance use and/or co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
- OR completion of an internship at Lakeview Center, Inc. through an accredited counseling/social work program can be substituted for the two years of post-graduate experience.
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
- A Level II background screening is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance use and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide direct therapeutic services, offer family services, deliver person-centered services, and manage the risk and safety of individuals served.
- Ensure services are provided and documented in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Lakeview Center standards.
