Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social services with at least one year of experience in counseling or case management required.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly families involved with the child welfare system and/or affected by trauma preferred.
  • Ability to facilitate positive interactions and work collaboratively with families.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in field of counseling, psychology or social work

Responsibilities

  • Carry small caseload of 4-6 families
  • Hold family sessions with each family 3 times a week scheduled at the convenience of the families
  • Provide treatment in families' homes, schools and other community settings as needed
  • Participate in weekly supervisions and clinical consultation meetings
  • Provide on-call availability to support families
  • Address behavioral health needs to support family functioning and stability.
  • Implement and adjust evidence-based intervention strategies to align with family goals
  • Collaborate with peers, DCP&P, and other community providers to ensure continuity of care and support for the family.
  • Complete necessary documentation required for Youth Villages Intercept program and Acenda.
  • Operates conscientiously in accordance with program budget (i.e., use of client engaging funds, office supplies).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
