Counselor / Family Intervention Specialist

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social services with at least one year of experience in counseling or case management required
- Ability to facilitate positive interactions and work collaboratively with families
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children and families, particularly families involved with the child welfare system and/or affected by trauma preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Master's degree in field of counseling, psychology or social work
Responsibilities
- Providing intensive home-based services to families
- Completing all required documentation related to families such as bi-weekly treatment plans, weekly session notes, and ongoing clinical assessments
- Participating in weekly supervision/ professional development, weekly group supervision and clinical case consultation calls
- Carrying a small caseload of 4-5 families
- Holding family sessions with each family 3 times a week scheduled at the convenience of the families
- Providing treatment in families' homes, schools and other community settings as needed
- Participating in weekly supervisions and clinical consultation meetings
- Providing on-call availability to support families
- Addressing behavioral health needs to support family functioning and stability
- Implementing and adjusting evidence-based intervention strategies to align with family goals
- Collaborating with peers, DCP&P, and other community providers to ensure continuity of care and support for the family
- Completing necessary documentation required for Youth Villages Intercept program and Acenda
