About The Position

Provide individual and group counseling, evaluation and assessment for university students with alcohol and substance abuse issues. Will also provide general counseling of students as needed. The staff member will perform administrative duties, provide emergency/crisis intervention, provide consultation to members of the university community, provide educational outreach programs, and periodically have the opportunity to supervise practicum and intern graduate students. This position is an annual 10 month full-time appointment: August 1 thru May 31.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Psychology, counseling or related field (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date).
• Two years related experience in alcohol and substance abuse counseling in outpatient clinical counseling either through an education degree program or professional work.
• Eligibility for Oklahoma Alcohol and Drug Counselor licensure, with the ability to obtain licensure within two years of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ph.D./Ed.D. in Psychology, counseling or related field
• One year related experience in a university counseling center
• Oklahoma license eligible as a psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist. License must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment.
