About The Position

Helio Health is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Counselor Aide to work as part of a team providing services to residents with mental health issues and chemical addictions. The role supports patients’ success in treatment and offers potential long-term career opportunities. This is a full-time position at the Insights Residential Rehabilitation and Stabilization Program. Available schedules are 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m. Pay is $17.00–$19.00 per hour. The position is eligible for a sign-on incentive of up to $1,500.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid New York State driver’s license, based on service settings.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service and/or human services experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with counseling-related screening, intake, orientation, referral, counseling, crisis response, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping, and consultation with other professionals.
• Participate in program administrative and clinical committees as assigned.
• Represent the agency to the community.
• Perform quality assurance activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of addiction/recovery and/or behavioral health self-help group processes and counseling principles.
