About The Position
Preferred Behavioral Health Group is seeking a full-time Counselor Aide for its CPSAI program in Somerville, New Jersey. The Counselor Aide receives and schedules referrals for adults involved with DCP&P and supports the Assessment Counselor. The role requires strong organization to manage the office calendar, distribute urine drug screen results, complete paperwork with clients, and maintain required logs. The Counselor Aide also collects random urine drug screens as requested by DCP&P, conducts home visits as needed, transports clients as instructed, and maintains the vehicle.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing.
- Proficient written and verbal communication.
- Highly organized.

Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of the referral process, including receiving and scheduling incoming referrals.
- Collect urine drug screens in accordance with Chain of Custody procedure.
- Conduct home visits as needed and complete chain of custody drug screens.
- Transport clients as instructed and maintain the vehicle.
- Manage the office calendar, distribute urine drug screen results, complete paperwork with clients, and maintain required logs.
- Work in a supportive role to the Assessment Counselor as part of a team.
