About The Position

As a Counseling Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment while supporting clients throughout their recovery journey. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced setting and is passionate about helping individuals build stability and move toward long-term recovery. Our residential and detox programs provide structured, supportive environments where safety, stability, and recovery-focused care are prioritized for individuals navigating substance use and behavioral health challenges.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record if driving an AllHealth vehicle or driving for AllHealth business.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of prior work experience in behavioral health is preferred.
  • Certified Addiction Technician designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise clients during assigned shift and provide resources as needed.
  • Document significant interactions/events, including clinical shift notes in the electronic medical record.
  • Deliver new clients a comprehensive orientation to residential programs, ensuring that clients understand rules, campus layout, and guidelines for conduct.
  • Continually provide education and support to clients regarding program expectations, assignments, and schedules.
  • Participate in and promote a positive, supportive, and cooperative team environment.
  • Accurately provide clients with appointment times, messages, and assignment support as needed.
  • Assist in emergencies, including procedures and protocols, using AllHealth protocol.
  • Aid in client property, campus, and drug searches as directed.
  • Support clinical staff and other departments in providing excellent client care.
  • Facilitate educational groups as assigned.
  • Participate in client commencement ceremony on Wednesday mornings as scheduled.
  • Encourage client participation in outings and wellness-related activities as appropriate.
  • Safely transport clients to off-campus events, meetings, and appointments as needed.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency in ethical standards of the counseling profession.
  • Adhere to confidentiality laws including 42CFR Part 2, HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
