Counseling Practicum Student Intern
About The Position
The Grace Church Supervised Counseling Practicum Program offers graduate counseling students high-quality clinical training in a Christ-centered ministry environment. Students will provide compassionate, supervised care to individuals connected with Grace Church, supporting existing care ministries through temporary educational placements. This program is not intended to function as a permanent professional counseling practice. The intern will operate under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor, never practice independently, and only provide counseling within the scope approved by CCU and their supervisor. Referrals will be received through Grace’s existing care ministries, and the intern will be responsible for safeguarding client files.
Requirements
- Graduate counseling student
- Must be supervised by a licensed professional counselor.
- Must not practice independently.
- Must not represent herself as a licensed counselor.
- Must provide counseling only within the scope approved by CCU and her supervisor.
- Must receive referrals through Grace’s existing care ministries.
- Must be responsible for safeguarding client files.
- University site approval
- Completion of the required supervision agreement
- Confirmation of the student’s start date
