About The Position

Eagle Point is an innovative investment manager focused on private credit strategies in inefficient markets, including Portfolio Debt Securities, Regulatory Capital Relief transactions, Infrastructure Credit, Strategic Credit investments and CLO securities. Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA 100 Law School
  • 2 - 5 years’ experience as external or internal counsel in any of leverage lending, ABS, CLOs, securities law, secured transactions, corporate law, restructuring, derivatives or other similar practice areas
  • Proficient presentation skills, including the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a small, team environment

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing documentation related to prospective primary and secondary CLO investment opportunities
  • Negotiating complex legal and business provisions on behalf of the CLO investment team across other credit investments
  • Assisting Eagle Point to be at the forefront of new market provisions, supporting both CLO debt and equity investments
  • Conducting CLO collateral manager due diligence with an emphasis on understanding the investment process, performance, legal risk and personnel risk
  • Participating in managing Eagle Point’s relationships with the dealers, collateral managers, and service providers
  • Liaising with client solutions and investor relations to prepare marketing materials
  • Working with the analytics and internal teams to track and maintain available documentation from primary and secondary offerings
  • Liaising with industry groups including the NAIC, SEC, SFA and the LSTA
  • Participating in relevant Investment Committee meetings and advising on strategic transactions
