The Counsel, Supply Chain, Trade, and Human Rights serves as a legal advisor to the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization, including its Customs & Trade function. This attorney provides strategic, regulatory, and transactional counsel across the clinical and commercial supply networks that deliver BMS medicines to patients around the world. This is a high-visibility role focused on issues including tariffs, trade policy, sanctions, import/export controls, supply continuity, and human rights due diligence. This attorney will collaborate closely with others in Law & Policy and the business. The role sits within the Product Development & Supply (PDS) Law team, a collaborative and dynamic group within the Global Drug Development, Manufacturing & Corporate Transactions (GDMCT) legal team at BMS. The PDS Law team provides comprehensive legal support for internal and external manufacturing operations, supply chain, customs and trade, engineering, real estate, and EOHSS. The broader GDMCT legal team also supports Drug Development, Product Development, Global Quality, and transactional support across the enterprise. This attorney will work alongside colleagues with deep subject matter expertise across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and transactional practices, on work that is directly connected to the delivery of medicines to patients. The successful candidate brings excellent legal judgment, learns quickly, navigates complexity, and works with urgency and creativity across regulatory schemes and stakeholders, always prioritizing the urgent needs of patients. The ability to build programs and communicate clearly on complex topics with senior business stakeholders is critical to success in this role.
