About The Position

The Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support and guidance on a wide range of issues related to the life sciences industry, including but not limited to contracts, compliance, acquisitions, data processing and intellectual property. This role requires a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape affecting life sciences companies, work efficiently in a high-volume, high-pressure environment, and collaborate effectively with different departments within the organization.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • A minimum of 5+ years with a preference given to life sciences/pharma industry experience.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and contract law is essential.
  • Significant redlining and contract review and negotiation experience required.
  • Knowledge of applicable healthcare, compliance, and privacy laws, rules, and regulations (Sunshine Act, Anti-Kickback Statue, pharmacovigilance requirements, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, etc.).
  • Must be detail oriented and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility, and a strong work ethic focused on providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and redline a wide variety of contracts and supporting documentation, including master services agreements, vendor agreements, statements of work, fee- for-service agreements, contractor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, third party data access agreements, licensing agreements, partnership agreements, etc.
  • Engage in direct negotiations and discussions with Trinity’s clients and vendors.
  • Review and evaluate risks associated with various US and OUS privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR compliance)
  • Ability to conduct legal review of various contractual agreements with minimal oversight.
  • Assist in acquisition support/integration.
  • Provide prompt legal support and guidance to Trinity leadership and management teams.
  • Review and complete RFP/RFI questionnaires and Vendor forms.
  • Answer questions regarding current agreements’ terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with various internal business partners including Compliance, HR, and IT.
  • Perform administrative tasks on an as needed basis, such as signing documents and electronic filing.
