About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Counsel to support its AMER Sales organization. This role involves structuring commercial transactions and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements primarily for direct deals. The ideal candidate will possess strategic and critical thinking skills, the ability to deliver under tight deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring 3 days a week in the Salesforce office.

Requirements

  • LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited law school/university.
  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of legal experience, with strong focus on commercial contracting in technology transactions.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills, particularly in technology transactions, including SaaS, cloud, AI, and professional services.
  • Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and demanding industry.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
  • Familiar with and interested in technical concepts (Web applications, cloud computing, digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence).
  • A can-do attitude—proactive, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, eager to continually learn and develop professionally, and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Review, negotiate, draft, and drive fast turnaround times on high-value agreements (across all industries and sectors other than Public Sector), including cloud, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, and data processing addenda and AI transactions.
  • Work closely with sales, privacy, and security teams to ensure smooth and efficient deal execution, and that agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes.
  • Bring a positive, solutions-driven approach to challenging situations.
  • Act with kindness and good humor.
