About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Home Health agency in the Huron Area on a PRN basis. The COTA will work with individuals in their homes to provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Valid certification as a COTA
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to travel to patients' homes in the Huron Area
• Flexibility to work PRN hours based on patient needs and caseload

Nice To Haves

• Experience in home health or a related setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
• Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities and exercises
• Document patient progress and report to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
• Adhere to all regulations and guidelines governing occupational therapy practice
