Turner & Townsend are looking for a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join their team and support construction cost services for their clients. The ideal candidate will be driven and promote Turner & Townsend's purposes and values. This role involves advising clients on strategies, managing vendor prequalification, assessing proposals and bids, making recommendations, chairing bid interviews, and managing the appointment process. The role also includes managing estimating services, developing project estimates, reviewing junior team members' estimations, presenting estimates and value engineering recommendations to clients, and validating costs with vendors. Cost reporting involves establishing schedules, reviewing reports and forecasts, managing the commercial risk register, and hosting meetings. Cost control includes reviewing payment applications, recommending contractor entitlements, reviewing change orders, and managing disputes. The role also covers invoicing, performance benchmarking, final accounting, post-contract audits, account close-outs, and developing lessons learned documents and training manuals. Procedures governing project handover will also be developed. All duties will be performed using or preparing Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms, Cost Estimating Software, and Take-off Software.
