About The Position

Maven Packaging is hiring a full-time, on-site Estimator in Huntsville, Alabama. The Estimator reviews customer drawings, specifications, and inquiries to develop accurate cost estimates for custom packaging projects. The role analyzes material and labor requirements, prepares detailed quotations, and collaborates with sales and production teams to ensure estimates meet customer expectations and manufacturing capabilities. The Estimator maintains pricing data, tracks project changes, and supports order planning to promote profitability and timely delivery. The position also involves communicating with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, answer questions, and improve estimating practices.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials such as foam, plastics, and wood, and packaging design, or willingness to learn.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and business software for estimating, pricing, and documentation.
• Comfort with data entry and numeric analysis.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple quotes and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama, and collaborate across functions.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to identify cost-effective solutions and suggest alternatives.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience in estimating, manufacturing, packaging, or a related field.
• Additional technical or business education.
