Cost Engineer
About The Position
Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. In this role, you will perform basic cost controls activities under the supervision of the project cost lead. You will maintain and update various cost deliverables and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure alignment and timeliness of cost-related inputs.
Requirements
- Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
- Basic knowledge of Project Controls activities.
- Basic knowledge of Bechtel's financial reporting systems (CFAR), Code of Accounts, cost management system (EcoSys), and the digital supply chain system (DSCS).
- Must have excellent communications and presentation skills and Excel proficiency.
- Demonstrated flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
- Basic overall knowledge of construction industry.

Responsibilities
- Performs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed.
- Cost codes actuals and commitments and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions.
- Reviews and issues bi-weekly labor reports and maintains staffing plans.
- Facilitates support for monthly invoices.
- Assists in maintaining and updating PSERV, CoCo, QURR etc.
- Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency.
