About The Position

The Project Cost Control System Administrator is responsible for back-end administration, configuration, maintenance, and technical support of EcoSys as the enterprise platform for project cost management and control. EcoSys serves as the primary project management user interface, requiring strong alignment to standardized project structures and disciplined data quality. This role provides technical troubleshooting and platform stewardship—including access/security, configuration, integrations, and issue resolution when technical defects or system behaviors prevent users from completing work.

Requirements

  • Project Cost Controls Expertise: Proven experience supporting engineering or capital projects across budgets, forecasts, actuals, change control, and performance reporting.
  • Enterprise Application Support: Hands-on experience with application administration, ERP integrations, incident/problem management, and ticket‑based support operations.
  • EcoSys / Project Controls Platforms: 3+ years administering enterprise project controls or cost management systems, with strong preference for EcoSys in ERP‑integrated environments.
  • ERP & Data Structures Knowledge: Solid understanding of WBS hierarchies, standardized coding structures, and data alignment within ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with IT, Finance, Project Controls, and project delivery teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Value‑Added Skills & Ways of Working: Experience with reporting/data consumers, regulated environments, governance and training ecosystems; automation/scripting skills (PowerShell/Python) a plus; comfortable in hybrid, structured support and release cycles.

Responsibilities

  • EcoSys Platform Administration: Configure, maintain, and oversee platform health, core objects, and governance to support standardized cost and project controls aligned with ERP (Oracle).
  • Back-End Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve system defects, perform root-cause analysis, coordinate fixes, and maintain incident runbooks/knowledge articles.
  • Security & Access Management: Administer user roles and permissions using least-privilege principles; provide audit support and backup admin coverage for standalone instances.
  • Integrations & Data Quality: Monitor and support EcoSys–ERP integrations, ensuring accurate, timely, and reconciled data for finance and reporting stakeholders.
  • Operational Enablement: Partner with Project Administrators and stakeholders by providing technical escalations, documentation, and guidance on approved training resources.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify automation opportunities and recommend platform enhancements to reduce manual effort, improve reporting reliability, and strengthen cost control.
