About The Position

Bridgepoint Consulting, An Addison Group Company, is currently seeking Accountants at all levels of experience with strong cost accounting and inventory experience who want to join our growing Atlanta team, tasked with supporting our clients in a wide range of interim and project-based accounting needs. Requirements

  • 5–8 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience with mid-size companies
  • Previous experience with manufacturing accounting, inventory management, and building and maintain job costing models
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting or Finance degrees or relatable business degree
  • Strong desire for consulting style work and delivering excellent client service
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Business partnership and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience with both public and private companies
  • Experience in middle-market manufacturing organizations ($50M-$500M revenue preferred)
  • Hands on experience with ERP systems such as: Microsoft Dynamics NetSuite Epicor Infor SAP Business One Oracle Plex
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or MBA
  • Prior employment by a Big 4 or other nationally recognized accounting firms

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Partner with plant managers and operations teams to identify cost savings opportunities and improve manufacturing performance.
  • Perform inventory accounting, including reconciliations, reserves, and valuation.
  • Lead or support physical inventories and cycle count programs while investigating inventory discrepancies.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing monthly account reconciliations.
