Cost Accountant

About The Position
This role supports manufacturing operations by assisting with costing production materials, analyzing monthly results, forecasting monthly spending and variances, and preparing the annual budget. The position also supports month-end close processes by completing journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly reporting. Additionally, the Cost Accountant will assist with physical inventory preparation and analysis, project tracking, and miscellaneous analysis. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors Accounting, Business, Finance
- 0 to 3 years Accounting / Finance experience
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing at all levels
- Ability to perform duties in a timely manner
- Follow-through on tasks and assignments
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Willing to learn and grow in skills and knowledge
Nice To Haves
- Cost Accounting experience a plus
- Familiar with ERP systems (QAD)
- OneStream Financial System
- 3 years experience in Accounting
- Data Analysis tools - SQL / Cyberquery / Data Cubes
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CPA candidate
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
