About The Position
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for collecting cost information, maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensuring proper cost percentages by recommending price changes. This role involves determining fixed costs, planning for and recording variable costs, and reviewing standard and actual costs for inaccuracies. The Cost Accountant will also analyze and report BOM margins, prepare cost forecasts, and assist with month-end and quarter-end inventory processes, identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role
- Thorough knowledge of construction
- In-depth understanding of manufactured homes business
- Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
Responsibilities
