The Cost Accountant will be responsible for various financial reporting duties, including the creation of monthly financial statements for consolidated and individual subsidiaries. This role involves direct responsibility for Gross Profit analysis and reporting, maintaining general ledger account reconciliations, and assisting with external audits, particularly in cash receipt/disbursement and inventory. A key focus will be on standard costing and inventory analytics, which includes calculating product standard costs, analyzing variances, and managing inventory balances and transactions. The position also involves detailed analysis of production variances, bills of materials, routes, cost categories, and costing sheets, as well as calculating GAAP inventory reporting using various methods. Additionally, the Cost Accountant will be a member of the Activity Based Cost/Management (ABC/M) team, focusing on SG&A, maintaining ABC models, and ensuring timely completion of related profitability reports. Daily banking activities, capital asset expenditure tracking, depreciation/amortization calculation, and gainshare calculations are also part of the responsibilities. Any other related duties as assigned will also be performed.
