About The Position

Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their Accounting team in Wellington and Belle Glade, Florida. This role will support the Eastern region value-added processing plant by managing cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting for the Food & Agriculture division. The position is primarily based in Wellington, with travel to the regional plant 2-3 days per week during the processing season to support business partners and operations. Overnight travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; ERP experience (DAX preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain standard costs and product costing data; analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage inventory costing, accuracy, reconciliations, and controls.
  • Support month-end close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and COGS analysis.
  • Maintain BOMs, routings, and ERP costing data.
  • Evaluate cost impacts of new products, process improvements, and capital projects.
  • Partner with operations to improve cost performance and inventory controls.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP.
  • Manage daily work order closures, packaging reconciliations, and invoice/PO approvals.
  • Prepare month-end entries, financial reports, and variance analysis.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling for plant operations.
  • Monitor budget-to-actual performance and provide financial insights to leadership.
  • Partner with plant operations to improve costing, inventory controls, and financial performance.
  • Support audits, capital projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and financial training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
