About The Position

The Cost Accountant is responsible for supporting SeAH Superalloy Technologies' manufacturing operations through accurate cost analysis, inventory valuation, and standard costing. This full-time role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with MRP systems and inventory management, along with a solid foundation in manufacturing cost accounting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management practices.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Adaptable, collaborative team player able to work effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct, hands-on experience with SAP Business One.
  • Experience in a startup, greenfield, or rapidly scaling manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with standard costing methodologies and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead, and investigate variances between standard and actual costs.
  • Support product costing activities, including cost roll-ups and analysis of manufacturing variances (material, labor, and overhead).
  • Partner with Production, Procurement, and Engineering to ensure costs are accurately captured and reflected in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions within the MRP system, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes, researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure inventory valuations are accurate and properly reflected in the general ledger.
  • Support month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and inventory/cost-related accruals.
  • Prepare routine cost and variance reports for the Controller or Finance leadership.
  • Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and other reporting needs by providing supporting documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve costing accuracy, inventory controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve cost and inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist with the implementation or enhancement of ERP/MRP-based costing and inventory workflows.
