About The Position

Vishay Thin Film is currently seeking applicants for a Cost Accountant responsible for participating in the Cost Controlling function for the site, including supporting management with consolidated reports and analysis concerning sales, costs, and profit and loss. This role involves working as part of a team in Cost Accounting and related functions, following company policy and GAAP, and implementing cost accounting and internal control procedures. The Cost Accountant will maintain standard manufacturing cost files for all division products manufactured in North America for pricing, inventory, and scrap valuation purposes. They will also assist in the preparation of monthly and YTD P&L, track reports, and gross margin reconciliations by product line, and maintain variable cost files and price/volume variance analyses by product class code. Additionally, the role involves participating in manufacturing cost/pricing development for OEM, distributor, and transfer pricing, and providing data for major pricing decisions, including new product and manufacturing cost/pricing comparative analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 1-3 years of related experience with emphasis on cost/controlling principles and accounting systems
  • Ability to multi-task is required
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Must qualify as a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
