About The Position

VPG is a global leader in precision measurement sensing technologies. Dynamic Systems Inc. (DSI), part of VPG, develops thermal-mechanical simulation systems used by researchers and engineers in aerospace, defense, energy, manufacturing, and advanced materials development. The Manufacturing Cost Accountant will work onsite in Poestenkill, New York, and be responsible for costing and controlling functions for a product line at Measurement Systems.

The role includes product and project costing, maintaining costing parameters, analyzing profitability, and preparing monthly operational reporting on sales, material, labor and overhead costs, variances, and profit contribution. It also oversees inventory and work-order valuation and control, supports audits and SOX compliance, and provides management with project profitability and actual-cost analysis to help identify cost savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Seven years of experience in costing and cost controlling, with an accounting background in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with the Syspro ERP system.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, data analysis, and report preparation.
• International travel is required.

Responsibilities
