About The Position

At Paul Mitchell The School in Pasadena, CA, we are searching for a full-time Cosmetology Learning Instructor to join our team. YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS MATTER As a Cosmetology Learning Instructor, you will plan and teach classes on haircutting, grooming, hair color, cosmetology theory, and professional development, all through the lens of the Paul Mitchell systems and culture. You'll spend your time working side-by-side with our Future Professionals in the Clinic Classroom, supporting them as they deliver guest services. You will actively coach and assist students, providing technical guidance along with essential salon success skills like guest consultations, re-booking, and retailing. Through your leadership, you will model the Paul Mitchell culture and set a standard of positive professional habits for everyone around you. Requirements

Current California Cosmetology license
3+ years of full-time experience working as a cosmetologist
Salon/barber shop experience, with strong results in building clientele, up-selling, rebooking, and retailing
Excellent organization, coaching, and communication skills
Skills in supervision, teamwork, documentation, and return on investment
Passion for the beauty and barbering industries
Honesty and professionalism
Passion for educating, learning, and helping others

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience (major plus)
Knowledge in Paul Mitchell Schools' cultural and technical systems (preferred)

Responsibilities
