About The Position

This position provides a range of support for Trilogy Salon and Spa operations specific to the Cosmetology program with duties focused on front desk operations, supplies, inventory, and instructor/student support. The role involves assisting with salon scheduling, training on salon management software, ensuring safety and sanitation, organizing and maintaining supplies and equipment, and supporting instructors and students with demonstrations and coursework. The position requires strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, as well as ethical conduct and a positive attitude. Flexibility in work schedule is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Wisconsin licensure in Cosmetology.
  • Two years of recent, related work experience.
  • Current Wisconsin licensure in Cosmetology.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to maintain an excellent working relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as good listening skills.
  • Ability to identify needed action without continual direction.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Neatness in work and appearance.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, maturity, initiative and integrity with a professional image contributing to the success of the college.

  • Sitting: This role requires extended periods of sitting while performing tasks and utilizing computer systems.
  • Mobility: While much of the work is desk-based, occasional mobility is necessary for work with equipment and supplies.
  • Lifting and Carrying: The role requires occasional/continuous lifting and carrying of light to moderate items up to 25 pounds.
  • Fine Motor Skills: This role requires precise hand movements or manual dexterity for working on a computer.
  • Repetitive Motions: Capacity to perform repetitive motions, such as typing, without discomfort or injury.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, candidates, and stakeholders, both in-person and through electronic means.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with salon scheduling for students and clients through the salon management software.
  • Assists in student and instructor training on salon management software.
  • Assists students in following safety precautions/sanitation in accordance with industry and College requirements.
  • Regularly cleans, organizes, rotates, and stores merchandise and supplies as directed for instructors and students in classrooms, labs, and storage areas.
  • Assists in daily cleaning and organizing of labs, storerooms, and associated cosmetology classroom/lab facilities.
  • Alerts instructors and management of equipment that is in need of repair or attention.
  • Assists instructors and students with the preparation and execution of demonstrations and course work as directed for classes/labs.
  • Regularly communicates with full-time and adjunct faculty on Trilogy operations.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct in all aspects of the work environment.
