An Inspector begins and ends their workday at their residence. The inspector travels daily using a state-issued vehicle within their assigned area to conduct routine, follow-up and complaint-based inspections for infection control, safety, and licensing compliance of individuals and businesses. The Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board is responsible for regulating the Cosmetology and Barbering industries in the State of Ohio. The Board's mission is to protect and support the public through regulation and education, while protecting the integrity of the cosmetology and barbering industries.
