About The Position

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Cosmetology Adjunct Instructor to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and skills in cosmetology with high school students. The successful candidate will inspire and educate students in a dynamic learning environment, preparing them for future careers in the beauty industry. This position can also substitute as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
• Active Cosmetology License
• Instructor course
• Three years of current work experience in the Cosmetology profession.

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover both fundamental and advanced cosmetology techniques.
• Provide hands-on instruction in areas such as hair cutting, coloring, styling, skin care, and nail care.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies.
• Contribute to the overall academic integrity of the program.
• Collaborate with school staff to integrate cosmetology education into the broader curriculum.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure students receive relevant and up-to-date training.
