About The Position

At Drybar Montecito, located in beautiful Montecito just outside Santa Barbara, our philosophy is simple: focus on one thing and be the best at it. For us, that’s blowouts. No cuts, no color, just blowouts. We are a locally owned and operated franchise location with a strong, loyal client base and a fast-paced, fully booked shop. This is an in-person role, and we’re hiring stylists who are currently based in the Santa Barbara/Montecito area or planning an immediate relocation. We’re currently looking for both experienced stylists and new graduates who want to grow their career in a supportive, high-energy environment. Just out of beauty school? We’ve got you. We offer full paid training in the Drybar method, so you don’t need to come in knowing everything—just bring a great attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Requirements

Valid California cosmetology license (or graduating very soon)
Open to new stylists + experienced stylists alike
Must be locally based or able to work in Montecito/Santa Barbara immediately
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills
Team player with a passion for making people feel confident and beautiful
You’re organized and keep things running smoothly—even on busy days
You’ve got great customer service skills—retail or hospitality experience is a plus
You love recommending products and services that help guests feel their best
You stay calm, upbeat, and focused, even when the salon is buzzing
You’re a team player who’s always ready to jump in and help

Responsibilities

Perform blowouts, curls, waves, braids, and updos using our signature Drybar techniques and Look Book
Deliver a consistent, elevated client experience from start to finish
Work in a high-volume, team-driven environment
Greeting and welcoming each guest with warmth and professionalism
Providing outstanding customer service throughout their visit
Delivering consistent, high-quality blowouts and styling services
Recommending and selling hair care products that suit each client’s needs
Keeping the salon clean, organized, and stocked
Managing your time effectively to keep the day running smoothly
