About The Position

Drybar is seeking licensed stylists for their busy Newport Beach (Fashion Island) location. The ideal candidate will love styling, blowouts, and making guests feel amazing. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and showcasing creativity in a vibrant salon environment. Expertise in various hair treatments and styles will be crucial in enhancing client confidence and satisfaction. The position requires availability on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with both AM/PM shifts.

Requirements

Valid California Cosmetology or Barber License (or currently in school and close to completion)
Proven experience in hair styling, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Candidates should be enthusiastic about providing outstanding customer service while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
Positive attitude and drive to succeed!
A current and valid cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying.
Amazing hair styling and finishing skills.
A desire to provide exceptional service.
Strong communication skills.
Drive and motivation.
Ability to work with and be a part of a team.
Accepting applications from cosmetology students (must have a valid cosmetology license to work as a hairstylist).

Responsibilities

Supporting fellow stylists and front desk staff to maintain a smooth, positive work environment.
Provide professional hair styling services, including washing, blowdrying and styling to clients.
Provide updos, braids, and extension services.
Deliver exceptional guest experiences every shift.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client experiences.
Stay updated on industry trends and techniques through continuous education.
Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
Folding and restocking clean towels.
Taking out trash as needed.
Dusting surfaces and wiping down shelves, counters, and styling stations.
Cleaning and sanitizing brushes and combs.
Keeping the break room tidy and organized.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with salon policies.
Refilling station drawers with tools and supplies.
Helping to restock back bar products and retail inventory.
