Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 0 – 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain on the job.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver products and equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and established processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to complete routine paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse technology, including RF scanners and ERP systems.
  • English proficiency (written and verbal) required to support job performance, workplace safety, and effective communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
  • Previous experience with OSHA and safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, filling, and shipping products accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensuring all products are readily available to be filled and necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to receive, move, store, stock, rotate, and replenish inventory.
  • Receiving and unloading shipments; inspecting products for damage, verifying quantities, resolving discrepancies, and completing required documentation.
  • Ensuring products are properly labeled, barcoded, and stored in the correct locations.
  • Picking, packing, palletizing, wrapping, and loading orders accurately while minimizing product damage and completing required paperwork.
  • Handling and documenting hazardous materials shipments in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy by following standard operating procedures, meeting productivity standards, and participating in cycle counts and inventory projects as assigned.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following safety procedures, wearing required protective equipment, and reporting safety or equipment concerns.
  • Maintaining required certifications, including forklift and hazardous materials certifications, as applicable.
  • Communicating professionally and courteously with customers and coworkers.
  • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
