About The Position

This role is part of the production crew with a main focus on preparing the corrugator stacker machine for production runs according to customer orders. The operator is responsible for ensuring the machine is ready, maintaining its cleanliness, and managing pallet supply for finished products. They also assist in monitoring the production run, identifying and reporting any issues, and palletizing the finished product for shipping. Adherence to ISO procedures and working with various production machines and basic tools are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
Willingness to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, around machinery, and heavy Forklift traffic.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

1+ year of experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Prepares the corrugator stacker machine for production runs according to customer orders.
Prepares the stencil that stamps the product with identification.
Cleans and oils the machine daily.
Orders pallets from the Forklift Driver according to the need expressed on the schedule.
Ensures pallets are at the machine for the finished products.
Assists with running orders by watching for smooth operation and identifying problems.
Notifies the operator of machine failure, product quality issues, or paper shortages.
May work with management, maintenance, and other employees to resolve problems.
Palletizes product according to the shop card and/or in a manner suitable for shipping.
May be required to feed the machine on occasion.
Adheres to ISO procedures and takes direction from the operator.
Works with various production machines and basic tools such as hammer and knife.
