Corrugator Double Backer (Overnight Shift Sun-Thursday)
About The Position
The Double Backer Operator is responsible for operating the control panel and monitoring the computer at the double backer section of the corrugator. The person in this position will make the proper splices and check the paper for bonding. They will also maintain clean plates and monitor the starch flow by making sure it does not overflow. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and a safe manner. The role involves working in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people, and requires the ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles. The operator must be able to perform all computer functions pertaining to the job, read a tape measure/ruler, and possess good mathematical skills. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs, as well as the ability to work on a rotating shift as needed.

Responsibilities
- Operate the control panel and monitor the computer at the double backer section of the corrugator.
- Make proper splices.
- Check the paper for bonding.
- Maintain clean plates.
- Monitor the starch flow and ensure it does not overflow.
- Adjust adhesive rolls and check meter rolls.
- Understand and make splices.
- Repair or assist maintenance in the repair of machine as necessary.
- Ensure quality is a work priority by being attentive to detail and accuracy and by actively seeking work process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors.
